Select grower, farm, field, activity. On this screen shot, the grower and farm have already been selected. Tap the 'Field' cell to select the field.

Select Field

A list of fields associated with the selected grower/farm is presented. Tap the field name to select it.

Field Border Highlighted

If a border has been mapped for the selected field, then that border will be highlighted.

Select Activity

Tapping the 'Activity' cell to display a list of activities. Select the activity for which information is to be collected.

Ready to Display Data Entry Form

Once Grower/Farm/Field/Activity are selected, tap 'Data Entry' on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to display the data entry form.

Recommendation Screen

On the 'Scout/Rec' form are several tables for entering data. The remaining screen shots will just focus on the Recommendation table.

Recommendations can be entered manually, or by appying a template.

First, the template method will be shown. Start by clicking 'Templates' on the toolbar on the bottom of the screen.

Templates Menu

Click 'Apply Recommendation Template'

Select Template

A list of Recommendation Templates is displayed. Tap the template that is to be applied.

Note that these templates are created in FieldRecon on the desktop and transferred to PocketRecon.

Template Applied

At this point, the template has been applied and the recommendation has been entered. The recommendation can be saved by clicking 'Finish' on the toolbar.

Recommendation Screen

If a template is not available, then the recommendation must be entered manually.

Begin by tapping the 'Treatment' cell in the first row.

Select Treatment Category

Select the treatment category by tapping the item in this list. In this demo, 'Herbicide' was selected.

Select Herbicide

From the herbicide picklist, select the herbicide that is to be recommended for this field. In this demo, 'Express Herbicide' is selected.

Note that the herbicide picklist is created in FieldRecon on the desktop and transferred to PocketRecon.

Select Application Method

Next, tap the cell in the 'Application Method' column.

Tap the application method from this list.

Select Application Rate

Tap the cell in the 'Rate' column.

Application Rate

A numeric keypad is displayed to enter the amount of herbicide to be applied.

Note that frequently used values can be save in the 'Saved' list. Also, the most recently used values are displayed in the 'Recent' list. Values from either of these lists can be selected by tapping the item.

Select Application Units

Tap the 'Units' cell to select the application units.

Tap the rate units from the list.

Recommendation Has Been Entered

Another treatment can be entered in the 2nd row of the table by repeating the previous steps.
